About the Role
A growing structural engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their small, collaborative team in Chesterfield. You’ll play a key role in delivering a variety of projects, with a focus on residential developments, while contributing to the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for residential and mixed-use projects
- Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Mentor junior engineers and support a small team environment
- Attend site visits and liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals
- Ensure all work meets relevant codes, standards, and sustainability considerations
About You
- Degree in Structural Engineering or related discipline
- Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., IStructE or ICE)
- Proven experience in residential and mixed-use structural projects
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, Revit, or similar)
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
